About the position

The Life Enrichment (Activities) Associate at Five Star Senior Living plays a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for residents by assisting the Life Enrichment Director in delivering recreational and evidence-based programming. This position focuses on creating opportunities for resident engagement with the community and ensuring the effectiveness of activities through assessment and feedback.

Responsibilities

• Assist in analyzing the community's resident population
• Help write recreation program descriptions
• Create opportunities for residents to interact with the community through trips and volunteer programs
• Assess the effectiveness of programs using attendance sheets and surveys
• Ensure residents are transported to activities
• Provide customer service and ensure safety during recreational activities
• Communicate effectively with residents and staff

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must pass State and Company criminal background/drug screens
• Demonstrates effective time management skills
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Associate degree in human service or recreation therapy preferred
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Previous experience working in a senior living setting is a plus
• Ability to work effectively with small groups as a leader or facilitator
• Valid state Driver's License or Chauffeur's license as required by property and/or state
• First Aid Certification desired
