About the position

The Maryville R-II School District is looking for an Assistant Track Coach for the Middle School Track Team for the upcoming 2024/25 school year. This role involves supporting the head coach in training and developing student-athletes, fostering a positive team environment, and ensuring the safety and well-being of all participants.

Responsibilities

• Assist the head coach in planning and conducting track practices.
• Support student-athletes in their training and development.
• Help organize and supervise track meets and events.
• Promote sportsmanship and teamwork among athletes.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants during practices and events.

Requirements

• Experience in coaching or participating in track and field.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to motivate and inspire student-athletes.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous coaching experience at the middle school level.
• Knowledge of track and field techniques and strategies.
