About the position
The Activities Director at Aristocrat Berea Healthcare & Rehabilitation is responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing engaging activities for residents to enhance their quality of life. This full-time position operates Monday through Friday from 9 am to 5 pm, focusing on creating a vibrant community atmosphere and ensuring residents' needs are met through various recreational and therapeutic activities.
Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate daily activities for residents.
- Engage residents in recreational and therapeutic activities.
- Assess residents' interests and needs to tailor activities accordingly.
- Collaborate with staff to ensure activities are inclusive and accessible.
- Maintain records of activities and resident participation.
Requirements
- Experience in recreational therapy or a related field.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Organizational skills to manage multiple activities.
Nice-to-haves
- Previous experience in a healthcare or rehabilitation setting.
- Knowledge of therapeutic activities for seniors.
