About The Position

The Activities Director at Signature HealthCARE of Clarksville is responsible for enhancing the quality of life for residents by planning, organizing, and directing a variety of activities that cater to their social, spiritual, and psychological needs. This role involves creating an engaging calendar of activities that is accessible and appealing to residents of all ages and abilities, ensuring that all residents have the opportunity to participate in meaningful events.

Requirements

• Degree and certification as a therapeutic recreation specialist or Certified Activity Director by the National Certification Council for Activity Professionals.
• Two years' experience in a social or recreational program within the past five years, with one year full-time in a resident activities program in a healthcare setting.
• Prior completion of a state-approved training course.
• One to two years of management/supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and direct a variety of activities for residents.
• Coordinate and verify assistance for residents during activities and events.
• Provide in-room activities for residents unable to attend daily events.
• Create an ongoing calendar of activities that meets diverse needs.
• Ensure activities are accessible and appealing to all residents.
