About the position

The Activity Aide at Mary T Maryland Inc. is responsible for organizing and facilitating activity programs for individuals with traumatic brain injury at the adult day program in Millersville, MD. This role focuses on enhancing residents' daily living skills, promoting socialization, and encouraging physical activity through various leisure activities.

Responsibilities

• Organize activity programs at the community level for individuals served.
• Participate in leisure activity programs, facilitating both small and large groups.
• Help individuals improve their daily living skills and promote socialization.
• Expand residents' personal interests and improve their physical activity.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Driver's license, auto insurance, and at least 2 years of driving experience.
• Ability to pass a criminal background and motor vehicle record check.
• Ability to attend a 4-day Orientation class in Millersville.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer skills.
