About the position
The Activities Assistant is responsible for planning, implementing, coordinating, and evaluating therapeutic recreational activities for residents in a senior living environment. This role aims to foster enjoyment and overall wellness among residents while collaborating with other departments to ensure appropriate activities are provided.
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement therapeutic recreational activities for residents.
- Coordinate and evaluate the effectiveness of activities.
- Consult with other departments to implement appropriate activities for residents.
- Assist in coordinating transportation for scheduled activities and resident appointments.
- Prepare the monthly Community newsletter.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- CPR Certified.
- Valid State of Residence Driver's License with a safe driving record.
- At least 1 year of related work experience in Senior Living.
