About the position

The Activity Coordinator at Osprey Heights is responsible for creating, developing, and implementing engaging activities and events for seniors in a retirement community. This role requires a dynamic and creative individual who can lead and encourage participation among residents, ensuring a fulfilling experience that caters to their mind, body, and spirit. The ideal candidate will have a background in event planning and a passion for improving the lives of seniors.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and engage residents in various activities and events.
  • Create, develop, and implement a full event, activity, and fitness program.
  • Encourage participation in all events to ensure a successful activities program.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely with residents.
  • Work flexible daytime hours and some weekends as required.

Requirements

  • One year of event planning or coordinating experience is required.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Basic computer skills are needed.
  • Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner with residents.
  • Prior senior living experience is strongly preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in decorating or wedding planning is a plus.
  • Strong persuasive skills to encourage participation in events.
