About the position

The Activity Director at Civitas Senior Living is responsible for creating an engaging and vibrant environment for residents through innovative program development and community connection. This role focuses on enriching the lives of the elderly by organizing meaningful activities, empowering team members, and ensuring personalized experiences for each resident.

Responsibilities

• Craft and execute a diverse schedule of meaningful activities and events that resonate with residents.
• Prepare and distribute monthly newsletters and calendars; arrange for community groups to visit.
• Educate, train, and inspire team members to foster meaningful connections and a strong community.
• Compile biographies on each new resident, ensuring a warm and customized welcome to the Community.
• Create ambiance by decorating common areas for special events and holidays.
• Maintain inventory and manage budget, aligning with the community's goals and standards.

Requirements

• Willingness to obtain Company-sponsored Activity Director certification as required.
• Demonstrated love for working with seniors, and a zest for life.
• Skilled in both written and oral communication with diverse audiences.
• A valid driver's license; must undergo background and motor vehicle checks.
