About the position
The Activity/Lifestyle Coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing, facilitating, and directing recreational activity programs for residents in an Assisted Living Community. This role aims to enhance the quality of life for seniors by providing engaging activities that promote socialization, interpersonal relationships, and personal development. The coordinator will work closely with residents to tailor activities to their individual needs and interests, ensuring a fun and meaningful experience.
Responsibilities
- Plan and organize recreational activity programs for residents.
- Direct and facilitate activities such as sports, games, arts and crafts, and community outings.
- Prepare necessary materials for activities and events.
- Document and assess resident progress and reactions to activities.
- Network with community organizations to develop a volunteer program.
- Participate in planning and implementing community events.
- Maintain resident confidentiality and privacy at all times.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Valid Driver's License is required.
- Experience in time management and organizational skills.
