About the position
Haven Behavioral Hospital of Philadelphia is seeking compassionate individuals to join their team as therapeutic activity providers. This role focuses on delivering therapeutic activities to patients, assessing their needs, and facilitating age-appropriate activities to enhance their quality of life during inpatient psychiatric treatment.
Responsibilities
- Provide therapeutic activities for assigned patients as scheduled.
- Assess patient needs and facilitate activities appropriate to their age, development, needs, and interests.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Art, Music, Dance Therapy, Therapeutic Recreation, or a related discipline.
- Master's degree preferred.
- Licensure or certification as required by accreditation or certification body specific to the individual's discipline.
- Three years of clinical experience in a psychiatric setting.
- At least one year's experience applying activity therapy methods and techniques preferred.
