As an entry-level member of the actuarial team, you will provide support of a mathematical and technical nature which is used in developing various insurance products, producing experience and valuation reports, and preparing financial statements. You will report to a credentialed Actuary and will be involved in various projects that support actuarial functions including product development, pricing analyses, and business forecasts. Your responsibilities will include preparing financial reports, memorandums, and other required actuarial supporting analyses for new product filings and rollouts, product management actions, and requests from external auditors, state regulators, and rating agencies. You will also communicate actuarial results to cross-functional areas including business unit personnel and other actuaries, ensuring proper documentation of the actuarial analysis performed.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support of a mathematical/technical nature for developing insurance products.
  • Produce experience and valuation reports.
  • Prepare financial statements.
  • Support completion of projects for actuarial functions including product development and pricing analyses.
  • Conduct product management tools and studies.
  • Assist in business and related forecasts.
  • Perform valuation, financial reporting, and analyses.
  • Prepare financial reports, memorandums, and other required actuarial supporting analyses.
  • Communicate actuarial results to cross-functional areas including business unit and support unit personnel.
  • Document the actuarial analysis performed.

Requirements

  • 0-1 years experience required; prior internships are acceptable.
  • Four-year degree required in Actuarial science, math, physics, economics, engineering, or related field.
  • Passed 1-2 SOA Exams.
