You will also engage in hedging our investments and producing analyses and reports for senior leaders. You will also conduct experience studies and assist in developing pricing, projection, or valuation assumptions. Your ability to communicate actuarial results to cross-functional teams will be crucial, as you will document the actuarial analysis performed and ensure clarity in your findings. Responsibilities

  • Analyze annuity and life insurance products.
  • Participate in the development and pricing of new products.
  • Prepare financial statements and reports.
  • Hedge investments and produce analyses for senior leaders.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports and memorandums.
  • Support new product filings and rollouts.
  • Manage product actions and respond to external auditor requests.
  • Conduct experience studies and assist in developing pricing assumptions.
  • Design and develop sophisticated modeling techniques in actuarial software.
  • Communicate actuarial results to cross-functional teams.

Requirements

  • Superior communication, programming, and math skills.
  • Ability to translate results into understandable terms.
  • Experience using Excel, VBA, and/or other programming languages.
  • A 4-year degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Completion of 1-2 SOA exams.
  • Leadership experience is a plus.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous actuarial internship experience.
  • Successful completion of more than one SOA exam.
  • Programming or database management experience.
