The Actuarial Analyst I at Tower Hill Insurance Group is responsible for evaluating insurance pricing for rate adequacy and competitiveness, analyzing the effectiveness and profitability of insurance rating structures, and developing estimates of the impact of updates to company products and procedures. Responsibilities

• Review, verify and analyze insurance data.
• Perform actuarial analysis necessary to prepare a variety of exhibits including rate indications and competitor rate comparisons.
• Develop working knowledge of rating procedures for various insurance programs.
• Extract data from various databases to prepare required exhibits.
• Review industry publications and monitor pending legislation to determine the impact on company insurance products.
• Prepare reports to aid in monitoring the performance of products and producers.
• Conduct Multivariate Analysis of pricing variables.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Economics or related technical field with rigorous mathematical coursework.
• Experience in an Actuarial Internship in insurance or consulting preferred.
• Strong analytical experience with Excel, SQL, Access, and Word preferred.
• Previous experience with R, Python, SAS or similar statistical programming languages is a plus.
• Passing credit for one (1) or more Actuarial Exams required.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in an Actuarial Internship in insurance or consulting preferred.
