About the position

The Actuarial Analyst I position at Everest Global Services, Inc. is part of the Group Actuarial Practice and Analytics team, which plays a critical role in providing independent analysis and insights for the company's insurance and reinsurance operations. This role involves utilizing external data sources to challenge internal assessments, enhancing analytical tools, and supporting group-wide reporting efforts. The position is based in either Warren, NJ or Stamford, CT, and follows a hybrid work schedule.

Responsibilities

• Assist in identifying and analyzing relevant external data sources to challenge, compare, and contrast internal assessments of key parameters and core analyses.
• Research, analyze, and establish a point of view on existing or new lines of business for Everest, identifying potential profitability and pitfalls.
• Use coding skills to enhance existing Group data tools and analytics while learning the context around the insights generated.
• Amass data from insurance and reinsurance teams for Groupwide reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in mathematics, Actuarial Science, Statistics, or related area.
• At least one actuarial exam, with a commitment to pursuing actuarial credentials like ACAS, FCAS, FIA, or similar.
• 1+ years of professional actuarial experience.
• Proficiency in Excel and SQL.
