About the position

The Actuarial Analyst II at Tower Hill Insurance Group is a full-time role focused on evaluating insurance pricing for rate adequacy and competitiveness. This position involves analyzing the effectiveness and profitability of insurance rating structures, developing estimates for updates to company products, and conducting multivariate analysis of pricing variables. Responsibilities

• Review, verify and analyze insurance data.
• Perform actuarial analysis necessary to prepare a variety of exhibits including rate indications and competitor rate comparisons.
• Research competitor filings and serve as a subject matter expert on rating procedures.
• Coordinate with Systems to ensure timely implementation of products.
• Extract data from various databases to prepare required exhibits.
• Monitor industry publications and pending legislation to assess impacts on insurance products.
• Prepare reports to monitor performance of products and producers.
• Conduct multivariate analysis of pricing variables.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Economics or related technical field with rigorous mathematical coursework.
• Minimum of one (1) year of relevant work experience, including experience with Excel, SQL, Access, and Word.
• Passing credit for three plus (3+) Actuarial Exams required.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience with R, Python, SAS or similar statistical programming languages.
