Furthermore, the analyst will coordinate and direct special actuarial projects, showcasing their leadership and project management skills. The ideal candidate for this position will work in a hybrid model, balancing remote work with time spent in the office. Candidates should ideally reside within 50 miles of an Elevance Health PulsePoint location, with a preferred location in Indianapolis, IN. This role is classified as non-management exempt and operates on a first shift schedule, aligning with standard business hours in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Insources Medicare Advantage Risk Adjustment Analytics from vendors.
  • Analyzes and implements risk contracts including conducting experience analyses, pricing, filing and settlement work.
  • Prepares management reports supporting new capitation initiatives.
  • Assists in training of actuarial trainees, analysts and specialists.
  • Coordinates/directs special actuarial projects.

Requirements

  • Requires a BA/BS degree.
  • Must have passed a minimum of four Society of Actuaries (SOA) actuarial exams.
  • Minimum of 3 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Medicare Advantage and/or Medicaid Risk Adjustment experience is strongly preferred.
