About the position

The Actuarial Analyst III at Elevance Health will engage in complex actuarial studies and diverse projects, primarily focusing on Medicare Advantage Risk Adjustment Analytics. This role involves analyzing and implementing risk contracts, conducting experience analyses, pricing, and preparing management reports to support new capitation initiatives. The position also includes training actuarial trainees and coordinating special actuarial projects.

Responsibilities

• Insources Medicare Advantage Risk Adjustment Analytics from vendors.
• Analyzes and implements risk contracts including conducting experience analyses, pricing, filing, and settlement work.
• Prepares management reports supporting new capitation initiatives.
• Assists in training of actuarial trainees, analysts, and specialists.
• Coordinates/directs special actuarial projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science or related field.
• Passed a minimum of four Society of Actuaries (SOA) actuarial exams.
• Minimum of 3 years related experience in actuarial work.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in Medicare Advantage and/or Medicaid Risk Adjustment.
