The Actuarial Analyst III will be a key member of the American National P&C Reserving team, responsible for analyzing the reserve adequacy of all P&C entities. This role involves performing and communicating actuarial analyses in loss reserving, reinsurance administration, and financial reporting. The analyst will also support other key functions outside of reserving, including pricing, forecasting, and modeling. In this role, the analyst will apply fundamental actuarial principles to prepare detailed reserving analyses for a variety of P&C coverages. They will assist in developing the actuarial workbooks necessary for the annual reserve opinion and prepare summaries of actuarial analyses for distribution to executives, other departments within American National, reinsurers, and regulators. The analyst will also work on improving the efficiency of regular monthly and quarterly actuarial processes and assist Finance and other actuarial departments with special projects as needed. Furthermore, the analyst will be expected to prepare for and progress in the CAS examinations, demonstrating a commitment to professional development and mastery of actuarial principles.
