About the position

In this role, you will be responsible for translating pricing and financial goals into actionable plans at the provider level, ensuring alignment with the Network team. You will facilitate communication between the Growth team General Managers and the Network team, prioritizing requests and driving consensus across multiple functions. Additionally, you will conduct strategic analyses, assess risks, and develop pricing strategies to support the organization's objectives.

Responsibilities

• Convert pricing and financial goals into specific action plans at the provider level.
• Create value for the Growth team General Managers by ensuring their input in network decisions and strategy.
• Organize and prioritize requests from General Managers and the Pricing Team for the Network team.
• Utilize strong influencing skills to drive consensus across multiple functions within Blue Shield.
• Lead and coordinate strategic, market, and competitive analysis.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop pricing trends and forecasts.
• Analyze provider reimbursement terms and evaluate actuarial risk-related analyses.
• Coordinate and audit actuarial analyses to support complex actuarial formulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, or equivalent business experience.
• ASA certification required.
• At least 8 years of professional actuarial experience.
• At least 1 year of pricing experience, with experience in multiple lines of business preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience in actuarial provider contracting analysis.
