We are currently hiring for entry-level Actuarial Analyst positions as part of our Actuarial Rotation Program. This program offers a unique opportunity for candidates to rotate among various actuarial departments within Constellation Insurance, including Valuation, Special Projects, Enterprise Risk Management, Product Development, Hedging, and Reinsurance. Candidates will be hired into one of these departments and will spend a minimum of two years in their initial role before being eligible to rotate to a different department. The specific department and role will be determined based on availability and company needs at the time of hire. As an Actuarial Analyst, you will be expected to engage in various tasks that contribute to the actuarial functions of the company. This includes performing actuarial analyses, developing and maintaining spreadsheets for reporting, and utilizing programming skills to enhance modeling processes. You will also have the opportunity to work with database tools to analyze large sets of data and contribute to the development of actuarial reports. Responsibilities

  • Participate in the Actuarial Rotation Program, rotating among various actuarial departments.
  • Perform actuarial analyses and develop reports based on findings.
  • Maintain and update existing spreadsheets using Excel, including common formulas and analytical tools.
  • Utilize programming skills, preferably in Visual Basic, to enhance actuarial modeling processes.
  • Build queries and perform analysis using database tools such as Microsoft Access and SAS.
  • Collaborate with team members on special projects and contribute to departmental goals.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, or a related quantitative field, or will have acquired a bachelor's degree upon graduation.
  • Passed at least one or more exams toward associateship with the Society of Actuaries.
  • Recent graduate with internship experience in a related field or have one to two years of related experience.
  • Experience with Excel, including updating and maintaining existing spreadsheets and developing spreadsheets for actuarial analysis and reports.
  • Knowledge of programming, preferably experience with writing macros in Visual Basic or developing code for modeling insurance products within actuarial modeling software.
  • Experience using database tools (Microsoft Access and/or SAS) to build queries and perform analysis on large sets of data.
  • Experience with actuarial software preferred (i.e. Moody's AXIS, MG-ALFA, Poly Systems, Prophet, Moses, etc.).
