About the position

The Actuarial Analyst position at PartnerRe involves supporting the U.S. Health Team in pricing and project work related to various reinsurance products. The role requires collaboration with actuaries and underwriting teams to ensure accurate pricing, maintenance of actuarial models, and analysis of key model assumptions. The position is designed for individuals pursuing actuarial designations and offers opportunities for professional growth in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with timely pricing and project work for reinsurance products.
• Work closely with Actuaries and Underwriting team to ensure proper pricing of reinsurance products.
• Help maintain current PartnerRe actuarial pricing models.
• Assist with the development of additional models to support the business.
• Conduct analysis and studies to support annual updates to key model assumptions using internal and industry data.
• Make consistent progress towards ASA or FSA designation.
• Prioritize work to ensure delivery of a final product within deadlines.
• Understand and apply evolving insurance and reinsurance concepts and terminology.
• Participate in various adhoc projects as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree
• Passed 2 or more actuarial exams
• Experience with Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint)
• Programming experience (Examples: VBA, SAS, R, Python)
• Clear oral and written communication skills
• Effective project management skills
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Ability to learn and navigate existing systems and processes.
