About the position

Milliman's Tampa Health Practice is seeking an Actuarial Analyst to join their dynamic and growing team. This role involves performing data analysis in various healthcare areas, working with leading experts, and contributing to consulting activities for health insurance and pharmaceutical companies. The analyst will engage in pricing, reserving, financial projections, and claims cost analytics while progressing through actuarial exams.

Responsibilities

• Perform data analysis using Excel, SAS, R, and Python.
• Assist with consulting for health insurance areas such as Medicare, Medicaid, and Pharmacy.
• Engage in pricing, reserving, financial projections, and claims cost analytics.
• Review the work of peers and assist with research and product development.
• Collaborate with project teams to deliver client reports and deliverables.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field.
• At least two actuarial exams passed.
• At least 2 years of experience in an actuarial role.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with SAS, VBA, R, Python, or other coding languages.
• Experience with Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, or commercial insurance programs.
