About The Position

The Consulting Actuary will support a public-sector-focused book of business in the West Region, primarily based out of San Francisco, Los Angeles, Phoenix, or Denver. This role involves managing client relationships, providing strategic advice on retirement plan issues, and leading business development efforts within the public sector market.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (ASA required; FSA preferred).
• Minimum of 9 years in employee benefits consulting, with a focus on public sector retirement plan design and strategies.
• Proven experience in managing client relationships and consulting projects.
• Strong business acumen and leadership capabilities.
• Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Analytical mindset with problem-solving expertise.
• Collaborative and relationship-building proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Manage and nurture client relationships with accountability for servicing and satisfaction.
• Anticipate and address client needs while identifying and implementing innovative solutions.
• Serve as a strategic advisor, leveraging deep actuarial expertise to address complex retirement plan issues.
• Collaborate across teams to deliver a full suite of consulting services.
