About the position

The Actuarial Data Analyst at Aspida Holdings Ltd. is responsible for designing and implementing processes related to hedging, reinsurance management, and data reporting and analytics. This role focuses on transforming data into actionable insights to enhance operational efficiency and support business decision-making. The analyst will collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to define requirements, understand business challenges, and develop data-driven solutions.

Responsibilities

• Work with actuaries and other business users on data management and business process solutions from design through implementation.
• Assist the offshore reinsurance team in receiving ceding client data and use an ETL process and database to prepare the data for the actuarial team.
• Lead discussions with cross-functional teams to understand reporting requirements and existing pain points.
• Help establish and report KPIs to measure business effectiveness.
• Create process flows for business procedures and assess potential enhancements through system updates.
• Prioritize multiple competing projects and manage the issue backlog.
• Become an expert on assigned systems and communicate effectively with end users.

Requirements

• Experience working with SQL, R/Python, Power BI, and databases preferred.
• Experience in the annuity/life insurance domain preferred.
• Bachelor's degree with coursework in computer information systems and technologies or demonstrated competency through related work experience.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to establish professional relationships and collaborate across multiple teams.
• Ability to prioritize work between multiple, concurrent projects.
• Track tasks and follow up with stakeholders to drive projects to completion.
• Collect and document requirements through discussions with business stakeholders and technical leaders.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in the annuity/life insurance domain preferred.
• Master's degree preferred.
