This role is integral to patient care, requiring proficiency in preparing compounded intravenous medications and managing inventory while ensuring compliance with regulations. Responsibilities

• Identify medications and items for reorder to maintain inventory.
• Receive, check-in, and restock medications ordered from vendors.
• Manage users within the automated dispensing technology database and troubleshoot malfunctions.
• Exhibit excellent interpersonal skills and respond to requests from internal customers.
• Restock medications to nursing and ancillary areas after pharmacist verification.
• Compound non-sterile medication products and follow documentation processes.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment and perform quality control activities.
• Handle narcotic medications in compliance with federal and legal requirements.
• Become proficient in compounding and labeling intravenous non-hazardous compounds.

Requirements

• Pharmacy Technician licensure and active Pharmacy Technician certification OR Pharmacy Intern licensure in Arizona.
• Ability to complete moderate to difficult mathematical calculations using a calculator.
• Strong customer service focus and exceptional communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and prioritization capabilities.
• Knowledge of computer software, particularly medication management systems and Microsoft applications.
