About the position

DaVita is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide compassionate care in a hospital setting for patients with end-stage renal failure or chronic kidney disease. This role involves working as part of a small interdisciplinary team to deliver specialized nephrology care, including various renal therapies. The position requires flexibility in scheduling and the ability to float to different facilities during training and after.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver care to patients dealing with multiple co-morbidities requiring unique treatment plans.
  • Oversee a group of patients with the support of Patient Care Technicians (PCTs).
  • Conduct patient observations, measure vital statistics, and set up dialysis machines.
  • Provide specialty nephrology care in various settings such as ICU, CCU, and ED.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment, delivering lifesaving care during scheduled and on-call shifts.

Requirements

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
  • Associates Degree in Nursing (A.D.N) from an accredited school of nursing required.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N) preferred; three-year diploma from an accredited diploma program may be substituted for nursing degree.
  • Successful completion of the pre-employment color blind test.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Critical Care Unit (CCU), Emergency Room (ER), or Medical Surgical (Med Surg).
  • Certified Nephrology Nurse (CNN) or Certified Dialysis Nurse (CDN).
