About the position

Valley Health is seeking an Acute Care/Trauma Surgeon for Winchester Medical Center, a Level-II Trauma center located in Winchester, VA. This position involves working in a state-of-the-art facility with a focus on providing high-quality surgical care in a team-oriented environment. The role includes a rotation of day and night shifts, emphasizing a commitment to community service and patient care.

Responsibilities

• Perform surgical procedures for trauma and acute care patients.
• Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Manage and oversee the care of patients in the Intensive Care Unit and Emergency Department.
• Participate in the trauma call rotation as required.
• Engage in community outreach and education regarding trauma care.

Requirements

• Board certified/eligible in general surgery.
• Added qualification in Critical Care.
• Experience in trauma surgery and acute care settings.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience working in a Level-II Trauma center.
• Familiarity with advanced surgical techniques and technologies.
