Ad Director

About the position

The Advertising Director will lead the multi-media marketing and advertising team at the Steamboat Pilot and the Craig Press, focusing on increasing revenues across newspapers, magazines, and digital products. This role is ideal for someone passionate about the Colorado mountain lifestyle and experienced in driving sales success through strategic account management and consultative selling.

Responsibilities

• Increase revenues for newspapers, magazines, and digital products
• Work with account managers to develop strategies for customer growth
• Forecast sales and surpass goals
• Use consultative selling to manage key accounts
• Make sales calls with account managers
• Attend community events
• Create sales proposals and maintain marketing materials

Requirements

• Excellent skills in leadership, team building, negotiation, issue resolution, innovation, and customer service
• Background in sales, marketing, or advertising
• Proven experience as an Advertising Director or similar role
• Outstanding external and internal communication skills
• Strong understanding of online media, metrics, analytics, and marketing
• Self-motivated and goal-oriented
• History of building customer relationships and cross-selling techniques
