About the position

The Associate Director, US Market Access Therapeutic Area Strategy for Breast & Women's Cancer is responsible for optimizing market access strategies for both launch and inline brands. This role involves collaboration across various teams within the US market access organization to ensure effective tactical execution and alignment with broader organizational goals. The position aims to secure optimal payer coverage and affordability for patients while ensuring the long-term value of Novartis products.

Responsibilities

  • Functioning as a point of contact for US product teams.
  • Assisting in the development of annual Market Access product-specific tactical plans and securing annual budgets.
  • Engaging with the Integrating Marketing and Customer Engagement Organizations for efficient execution of market access strategies.
  • Supporting annual forecast activities.
  • Socializing US market access product strategies with US Product Leads.
  • Supporting the development of critical market research and go-to-market principles for optimal product commercialization.
  • Managing vendor RFP processes and ensuring contracting compliance.
  • Managing multiple budgets and deliverables, ensuring cross-functional alignment and budget adherence.
  • Collaborating with Legal, Compliance, Brand, and Marketing teams for compliant tactical implementation.
  • Mastering the NVS Material Approval Process and compliance with pharma/FDA marketing policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA, Health Policy or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of pharmaceutical experience in Marketing/Sales, Market Access or Managed Care Finance.
  • Awareness and understanding of US healthcare dynamics and pharmaceutical value drivers.
  • Proven success in commercial pharmaceuticals with a track record of execution and results.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills for collaboration across a matrix organization.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects with interdependent findings.
  • Engagement with diverse groups across product, marketing, and customer experience.
  • Adaptability to changes in internal and external environments.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.
