About the position

The AD/Sr. AD, Market Research/Competitive Intelligence at Boehringer Ingelheim is responsible for leading all aspects of market research and competitive intelligence for assigned brands and therapeutic areas. This role involves identifying market research needs, developing research plans, executing studies, and communicating insights and recommendations. The position also includes analyzing secondary market data and ensuring compliance with corporate standards. The role is based on-site in Ridgefield, CT, with hybrid flexibility.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all aspects of patient/consumer/media market research for assigned brands, including identifying research needs and executing studies.
  • Manage competitive intelligence efforts, including identifying knowledge gaps and developing key intelligence topics.
  • Collaborate with various departments to integrate market research insights into marketing strategies.
  • Develop goals and metrics, and deliver standard and custom reports for assigned pharmaceuticals.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate standards and regulations in all business practices.
  • Incorporate US market research interests into corporate-led studies.
  • Share knowledge of research methodologies with other managers and improve technical competency.
  • Participate in special projects as directed by management.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree with 7 years of pharmaceutical market research experience, or a Master's degree with 5 years of experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in US focused consumer/direct-to-consumer market research preferred.
  • Significant experience in qualitative and quantitative market research techniques.
  • Strong planning, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills across all organizational levels.
  • Ability to work in an international environment.
  • Experience with marketing research for new product launches preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership abilities.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the pharmaceutical industry with a focus on market research.
  • Knowledge of drug development processes and principles of disease.
