About the position

The Solutions Engineer at FreeWheel, a Comcast company, plays a crucial role in the Client Solutions team by providing innovative and tailored technical solutions to clients in the Television industry. This position focuses on building long-term relationships with clients, understanding their business needs, and delivering custom solutions that leverage advanced advertising capabilities. The role involves collaborating across various teams to develop and implement complex solutions that enhance the client experience and drive business growth.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical guidance to clients on optimizing platform usage.
  • Execute implementation projects to enhance product usage through new integrations.
  • Analyze business needs and technical feasibility for clients based on current technology architecture.
  • Develop and document strategic, cost-effective business and technical solutions.
  • Participate in the product release cycle through requirements gathering.
  • Articulate technical solutions during the presales process and translate business requirements from customers.
  • Capture technical details of client-specific implementations and maintain updated documentation of clients' technology architecture.
  • Assist in preparing materials for client renewal opportunities, product upsells, business reviews, and account plans.

Requirements

  • Degree in STEM or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience working within technology and/or the advertising and media industry.
  • Experience in advertising technology or related SaaS role.
  • Experience in a sales engineering or customer-facing role.
  • Experience working directly with 3rd party technology vendors.
  • Proficiency in SQL or equivalent.

Nice-to-haves

  • Working knowledge of web technologies such as HTTP, HTML5, XML, JSON.
  • Object-oriented programming skills in JS, Python, etc.
  • Experience developing against RESTful APIs.
  • Familiarity with IAB standards including openRTB.
  • Ability to analyze large data sets to inform business decisions.
  • Experience with data access and visualization tools such as Loki, Looker, Arena, Kibana, Grafana, or equivalent BI software.
  • Experience with proxy tools such as Charles, Wireshark, Chrome DevTools.
