Responsibilities

• Attend work in a regular, reliable and punctual manner.
• Telework when requested by the District.
• Diagnose, assess, prescribe, and evaluate the motor needs of individual students for adapted physical education services.
• Perform ongoing assessment of physical and perceptual motor needs; write and modify the IEP as needed; maintain student attendance records; write lesson plans in accordance with IEP goals.
• Develop and provide specific physical education sessions to address the specific needs of individual students.
• Facilitate ongoing participation in activities that foster student development and physical independence.
• Consult with physical education teachers, special education teachers, parents, and students on techniques and activities to enhance a student's school function.
• Maintain an inventory of current equipment and associated materials; recommend needed equipment and material.
• Uphold confidentiality guidelines pertaining to students and their families.
• Prepare and participate in IEP meetings.
• Perform other assigned duties.
