About the position
The ADAS/Autonomous Vehicle Expert will leverage their extensive design and manufacturing experience to provide expert analysis, reports, and testimony in civil litigation and insurance claims related to vehicle crash reconstruction and product liability. This role requires a deep understanding of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and autonomous vehicle features, as well as the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
Responsibilities
- Provide investigation and analysis for civil litigation and insurance claims involving vehicle crash reconstruction.
- Prepare detailed reports and expert testimony based on technical and scientific findings.
- Utilize knowledge of ADAS features, including Forward Collision Warning and Lane Keep Assist, to assess vehicle systems.
- Collaborate with a team of experts to deliver comprehensive solutions to complex engineering problems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited college.
- PE license preferred; must be willing to obtain if not currently licensed.
- 10+ years of general automotive knowledge and experience.
- 3+ years of experience in the development and testing of ADAS features.
- Specific experience in ADAS system and/or component design and development.
- Working knowledge of ADAS/Autonomous features, including component level specifications and system level performance requirements.
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent technical, analytical, writing, and communication skills.
