About the position

The ADAS Calibration & Automotive Diagnostic Technician at Automotive Technology Experts (ATE) is responsible for providing fast and accurate vehicle diagnostic scanning and calibration services. This role is crucial in ensuring that repairs are safe and that vehicles operate as intended by the manufacturer. The technician will work in a dynamic environment, collaborating with team members and customers to enhance service delivery and support company growth.

Responsibilities

  • Perform vehicle diagnostics, calibrations, programming, and scanning.
  • Conduct wire and connector repairs.
  • Provide support to team members by explaining diagnostics and enhancing their learning experience.
  • Communicate with internal and external customers to establish supply and demand for ATE services.
  • Collaborate with market management in weekly meetings to address needs and promote company growth.
  • Safeguard and maintain equipment and company-assigned vehicles.
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of automotive background servicing and diagnosing all automotive systems.
  • Strong technological skills, including Outlook, Teams, Word, etc.
  • Strong working knowledge in ADAS and electrical services (calibrations, programming, diagnostics, wire/connector repair, etc.).
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Continuous learner seeking to develop new skills and expand knowledge for career progression.
  • Ability to remain productive with a great sense of urgency.
  • Ability to stand for long periods in automotive shop environments.
  • Energetic and motivated with a passion for the industry and positive representation of the ATE brand.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical diagnostic equipment (multimeter, power probe, resistors, etc.).
  • Ability to read and understand factory and non-factory service information.
  • Ability to perform and analyze vehicle health analysis scans with factory and non-factory tooling.
  • Ability to read and understand vehicle wiring schematics.
  • Ability to perform wire/connector repair and/or replacement.
  • Ability to program vehicles with factory or non-factory software.
  • Ability to perform all level 1, 2, and 3 calibrations (Static & Dynamic).
  • Ability to diagnose, correct, and verify all customer vehicle concerns.
  • Ability to explain and communicate diagnosis in both verbal and written formats.
  • A safe driving record and a valid Driver's License are required.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
