We are seeking a diligent, detail-driven technical program management professional to support our Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) Embedded Software development activities. This involves applying Technical Program Management engineering principles and analytical techniques in support of delivering embedded platform software for the next generation of ADAS ECUs. In this role, you will partner with key stakeholders to define, scope, prioritize, and deliver major ADAS software initiatives that span multiple teams and organizations across Ford. You will apply technical project planning, management, and leadership for the development and delivery of ADAS Embedded Software, whether it is hand-coded or model-based design (MBD). Your responsibilities will include implementing and executing roadmaps, schedules, project plans, and resourcing plans to enable ADAS teams to meet commitments across all customer constituencies. You will lead team members on modern, world-class software development practices, ensuring precise execution of a technical plan, which includes managing milestone progress, dependency tracking, risk management, and risk mitigation. Additionally, you will interface with cross-functional teams - Systems, Software, Feature, Suppliers, Manufacturing, V&V, and Quality - to define and drive development plans, ensuring on-time software delivery with the highest quality. Your technical knowledge will be crucial in partnering with technical leaders to drive resolution on technical issues and cross-functional dependencies. Effective communication will be key to driving alignment within the team and to a broad stakeholder and leadership community. You will proactively identify and manage project risks, developing mitigations and/or recovery plans in the event of project slips. Efficient utilization of work management tools such as Wiki, JIRA, and other project management tools will be essential to make plans and status visible to leadership and to provide strategic planning options and contingencies.

Responsibilities

• Partner with key stakeholders to define, scope, prioritize, and deliver major ADAS software initiatives.
• Apply technical project planning, management, and leadership for the development and delivery of ADAS Embedded Software.
• Implement and execute roadmaps, schedules, project plans, and resourcing plans to enable ADAS teams to meet commitments.
• Lead team members on modern software development practices and precise execution of a technical plan.
• Interface with cross-functional teams to define and drive development plans, ensuring on-time software delivery.
• Proactively identify and manage project risks, developing mitigations and/or recovery plans.
• Utilize work management tools to make plans and status visible to leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or similar related technical field.
• 4 years working experience in product or feature development on hardware, software, and/or services.
• Experience with managing Agile projects using modern work management tools (e.g., JIRA).
• Strong background in software development and/or managing software projects.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or similar related technical field.
• 7 years working experience in product or feature development on hardware, software, and/or services.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams across multiple disciplines throughout the entire product lifecycle.
• Expertise in embedded software development.
• Proven ability to clearly communicate program information to stakeholders at various levels.
