About the position

The ADCE Associate position at Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. is designed for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in operational excellence and troubleshooting within the AWS infrastructure. This role involves participating in a comprehensive training program that prepares associates for engineering roles in the AWS Region Reliability organization. Associates will learn to execute operational tasks, identify process inefficiencies, and develop a foundational understanding of cloud services, Linux, and networking. Responsibilities

• Execute a defined set of operational tasks on a schedule.
• Identify ineffective processes and technical implementations.
• Learn to understand operational risks and avoid unnecessary risks.
• Work with senior engineers to identify operational concerns and escalate them as needed.
• Resolve straightforward blockers using existing runbooks and communicate issues effectively.
• Gain familiarity with AWS services and how they communicate.
• Support mission-critical workloads in a Remote Managed Facility.

Requirements

• Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems.
• 1+ years of work experience requiring a security clearance.
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph.
