About the position

The User Experience Researcher II at Bluehawk Consulting will focus on understanding the needs and behaviors of B2B partners and travelers to inform the design and optimization of travel advertising solutions. This role is crucial in providing lodging supply partners with effective tools and leveraging data to enhance partner reach. The researcher will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that products meet user needs and align with business goals, contributing to the mission of creating engaging advertising experiences in the travel industry.

Responsibilities

  • Design and conduct qualitative and quantitative user research studies, including usability testing, interviews, surveys, and ethnographic studies.
  • Analyze and synthesize research findings to generate actionable insights and recommendations for product and design teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate user insights into the product development process.
  • Advocate for user-centered design principles and best practices within the organization.
  • Prioritize research methods and questions based on project constraints and opportunities.
  • Manage multiple projects, balancing agile approaches with in-depth investigations.
  • Ensure the quality and accountability of user research within your area of focus.
  • Estimate work effort and define deliverables for research projects.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of experience in UX research, preferably with a focus on travel or advertising solutions.
  • Strong understanding of qualitative and quantitative research methods.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in research tools and software (e.g., UserTesting, Optimal Workshop).
  • Strong communication & presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex findings to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment.
  • Passion for travel and a deep understanding of the travel industry is a plus.
  • Proven success working with product teams and UX designers on software interfaces.
  • Ability to plan and lead generative research to define new design concepts.
  • Ability to develop creative, flexible, and rapid approaches to user experience problems.
  • Strong organizational skills, able to act independently and switch quickly between different projects.
