About the position

The Sr Maps UI/UX Designer will play a crucial role in enhancing a complex road map program for a leading technology company. This position requires a strong technical background to address UI/UX challenges effectively, ensuring that the application remains user-friendly and efficient as it undergoes continuous feature updates. The designer will be responsible for creating end-to-end scenarios in Figma, developing feature documentation, and building a new geo map editor that encompasses various aspects of the road network and other geographic features.

Responsibilities

• Designing features and components that contribute to editing the map elegantly and efficiently.
• Creating the cartography, design, interaction, and features for the client product Maps and the asset library.
• Creating Wireframes.
• Creating a client product Maps asset library that Engineering can access.

Requirements

• Technical understanding of engineering terms.
• Figma expertise.
• 5-8+ years UI/UX Design experience with complex enterprise apps, maps, graphs, or development tools.
• Historical experience with various drawing/modeling tools (AutoCAD, Maya, 3Ds Max, SketchUP, Illustrator, Sketch, etc.).
• Experience working on UI/UX design for digital maps.
• Ability to work through technical UX design challenges, with coding experience being a plus.
