About the position

The position involves operating and maintaining additive manufacturing equipment, ensuring quality production, and collaborating with design and technical support teams. The role requires effective communication and training of other operators, as well as performing routine maintenance and quality testing to meet production demands.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with design personnel regarding input parameters for CAD models into additive manufacturing equipment.
  • Utilize additive manufacturing computer systems to construct builds and make adjustments for quality improvements.
  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on all additive manufacturing equipment.
  • Communicate with technical support personnel to resolve issues or install system enhancements.
  • Train other operators on additive manufacturing equipment and secondary processes.
  • Perform secondary processing of components, including filing, metal finishing, and machining.
  • Order and maintain inventory of materials and related supplies.
  • Conduct daily quality testing (e.g., hardness and tensile) and analyze data for machine adjustments.
  • Collaborate with upstream and downstream customers to ensure production meets demand.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Minimum of three (3) years related manufacturing experience.
  • Working knowledge of inspection equipment, blueprint reading, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GDT).
  • Formal CAD training, including 3D design and surfacing, CNC programming, and machining.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in powder and support structure removal processes and equipment preferred.
  • One (1) plus year of experience with CAD operations preferred.
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) preferred.
