About the position

The Operating Room Facilitator/Inventory Tech-Lead at Aultman Health Foundation is responsible for ensuring the efficient flow of critical patient care equipment and products in the Operating Rooms and Invasive Heart Lab. This role involves managing procurement, staffing, and scheduling, as well as maintaining optimal inventory levels to support patient care needs. The position requires collaboration with various teams and includes on-call responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead procurement specialist managing all critical and non-critical products.
• Manage staffing and scheduling for the Operating Room (OR).
• Act as a liaison for Central Supply, Central Processing, and Shipping/Receiving.
• Order and maintain supplies at appropriate PAR levels.
• Manage QSight Supply and Lawson Software, including staff training.
• Evaluate staff levels and availability for emergent cases in collaboration with ANM/UD.
• Ensure efficient and cost-effective procurement activities while maintaining optimal inventory levels.
• Facilitate communication between control desk, central service, receiving, anesthesia, surgeons, and the perioperative team.
• Assist in preparing for procedures by ensuring necessary equipment and supplies are available.
• Prioritize needs of assigned rooms and be available for emergencies.
• Organize and stock equipment and supplies throughout the day.
• Manage turnover of the room between cases and ensure cleanliness.
• Print and distribute the daily OR schedule to appropriate departments.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a related field.
• Strong computer skills, including experience with Lawson software.
• Ability to lift 40 pounds every 5 minutes for 6 times and push/pull a cart weighing 150 pounds.
• Ability to walk at least 3 miles in an 8-hour period.
