About the position

The Adjudicator position at Constellis involves monitoring, tracking, reviewing, analyzing, and adjudicating background investigations of government personnel and contract employees. The role requires evaluating information, issuing letters of interrogatory, and preparing written reports to recommend suitability or security determinations. This position is essential for ensuring compliance with federal regulations and maintaining the integrity of personnel security processes.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor, track, review, analyze, adjudicate, and compile results of completed background investigations (BIs) of government personnel and contract employees.
  • Evaluate favorable and derogatory information, issue Letters of Interrogatory to resolve outstanding issues, and prepare written reports of findings.
  • Provide adjudicative recommendations to assigned completed background investigations using the principles of 5 CFR 731.
  • Assist with updating background investigation policies and procedures as requested.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Two (2) years of experience performing adjudications; five (5) years of adjudicative experience preferred.
  • Three (3) years of experience within Personnel Security.
  • Successfully completed OPM's Essentials of Suitability Adjudication Program (ESAP) or equivalent training accredited through FLETA.
  • High oral communication skills to interact effectively with individuals at all levels.
  • High reasoning skills to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables.
  • High language skills to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, and governmental regulations.
  • Intermediate math skills to calculate figures and amounts.
  • High computer skills and proficiency in MS Windows and Microsoft Office.
