About the position
Reporting to the Dean of Business and Industry, the instructor is responsible for preparing and teaching core Carpentry courses that students complete as part of their required program. Courses will be taught in a face-to-face setting.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and teach core Carpentry courses
- Ensure students complete required program courses
- Conduct classes in a face-to-face setting
Requirements
- Diploma from a carpentry program or completion of a registered carpentry apprenticeship program
- Four full-time years (or equivalent) of verified related paid work experience as a carpenter
- One year of work experience within the five years immediately preceding the date of application for the credential field
Nice-to-haves
- Two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) post-secondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years
