About The Position

The Adjunct Civil Engineering Technology Instructor is responsible for preparing and teaching core Civil Engineering Technology courses that students complete as part of their required program. Courses may be taught both in face-to-face and online settings.

Requirements

• Associate degree in civil engineering technology or land surveying technology, or a civil engineering degree.
• Four full-time years (or equivalent) of verified related paid occupational experience in civil engineering and/or land surveying field, performing duties as a technician, engineer or surveyor.
• One year of this work experience shall be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application for the credential field.

Nice To Haves

• Teaching experience.
• Certified in Aggregate Production Tester and Grading & Base Tester.
• ACI Certified in Concrete Testing.
• Knowledgeable in CAD software in Civil Technical fields such as CivilCAD and Civil3D.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and teach core Civil Engineering Technology courses.
• Deliver courses in both face-to-face and online formats.
