About the position

Ensign College is seeking qualified professionals to join our team as part-time instructors (adjunct faculty) in the field of digital technology. This position is designed for individuals who are passionate about teaching and committed to providing high-quality undergraduate education. The adjunct faculty will be responsible for teaching courses related to digital marketing, content creation, and communication marketing. The role requires a strong understanding of the course content areas, including digital content creation, social media marketing, and technology account management. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to create immersive learning experiences that engage students and foster collaborative learning environments. As an adjunct faculty member, you will be expected to complete all required training, including FERPA and Title IX, and review all instructional materials such as teaching plans and syllabi. You will support our unique learning and teaching framework by planning and preparing course curricula that include measurable objectives. The role also involves creating and maintaining a suitable environment for learning, focusing class interactions on immersive discussions and activities, and encouraging student-instructor interactions. Evaluating student learning through various assessment methods and maintaining timely and detailed student grade records are also key responsibilities. This position allows for flexibility, with a typical teaching load of one to three classes per semester, depending on the needs of the college and enrollment levels. You will also be required to attend one-on-one meetings and communicate any concerns, suggestions, or recommendations to the program chair. Responsibilities

  • Complete all required training (FERPA, Title IX, etc.)
  • Review all instructional materials (Teaching plans, syllabi, etc.)
  • Support our unique learning and teaching framework
  • Create and execute immersive learning opportunities
  • Plan, prepare from, and follow an approved course curriculum that includes measurable objectives for each course taught
  • Create and maintain a suitable environment for learning
  • Focus class interactions on immersive discussions and activities
  • Encourage student-instructor interactions
  • Evaluate student learning using multiple means of assessment
  • Maintain and submit timely and detailed student grade records
  • Maintain a typical teaching load of one to three classes a semester as needed
  • Attend one-on-ones and other meetings as necessary
  • Communicate concerns, suggestions, and recommendations to the program chair

Requirements

  • Masters degree
  • Experience and expertise in digital content creation, social media marketing, digital marketing, technology account management, and sales or communications
  • Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, administrative, organizational, writing, and computer skills
  • Ability to apply field-related skills to the development and/or advancement of course content and delivery
  • Proven teaching ability at the college level and an understanding of collaborative learning and competency-based instruction
