Adjunct Faculty members teach courses to students pursuing a broad range of Associate in Arts, or Associate in Science degrees.
Responsibilities
Teaches lecture and laboratory sections
Evaluates and advises students
Participates in departmental and College affairs
Develops curricula
Recruits students
Serves on committees
Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
Master's degree in Education or a Master's degree from a regionally accredited institution and 18 graduate credit hours in Early Childhood Education
One year or more of experience in a child care setting serving children birth through 8 years old
Excellent communication skills (Verbal and Written)
Ability to work well with students, faculty, staff and the community
Ability to communicate effectively with students of widely ranging skills
Ability to work in a multi-ethnic/multi-cultural environment
Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evening and weekend assignments
Nice-to-haves
Doctorate in Early Childhood Education or Curriculum and Instruction with a specialization in Early Childhood Education
