About the position

Responsibilities

  • Distribute and review the course syllabus during the first class meeting.
  • Utilize active learning methods and a variety of instructional strategies to assist learners in meeting course objectives.
  • Remain abreast of ongoing developments and practices in the professional content area.
  • Arrange for the acquisition and preparation of appropriate materials and equipment necessary for course objectives.
  • Record and report student data accurately, including assessment of student performance and final grade reports.
  • Support students' learning goals by focusing on outcomes and accommodating individual differences.
  • Maintain academic integrity and make oneself available to assist students in achieving their learning goals.
  • Recommend campus services to students as needed, including library services and financial aid.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Engineering or a related area.
  • Demonstrated interest and ability in community college classroom teaching.
  • Commitment to and demonstrated ability to work effectively with a diverse faculty, staff, and student body.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience teaching electrical engineering.
