The Luter School of Business at Christopher Newport University is seeking applications for adjunct faculty positions to teach individual courses in Data Analytics, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Statistics, Management Science, Software Applications for Business, and Advanced Data Analytics. The adjunct faculty will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction and engaging students in the learning process. The courses offered are designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the strategic value of data and statistical analysis in real-world business contexts. In the Business Statistics course, students will learn about the application of statistics to improve business processes, utilizing tools such as regression models and statistical inference. The Data Analytics course will cover fundamental principles and techniques of data science, emphasizing the importance of data-analytic thinking and real-world applications. Operations Management will focus on the operational functions that impact a firm's competitiveness, including facility design, inventory control, and labor management. The Supply Chain Management course will explore the management of value-adding activities across firms, addressing topics such as supply chain design and optimization. Management Science will introduce students to techniques for problem-solving and decision-making, utilizing mathematical modeling and analytical approaches. The Software Applications for Business course will provide advanced training in Microsoft Excel and Access, with a focus on database design and SQL queries. Candidates must demonstrate excellent teaching abilities and hold an earned graduate or terminal degree from a regionally accredited university in a relevant discipline, along with 18 completed semester hours of related graduate coursework or an MBA with relevant professional experience.
