About the position

The Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) is seeking part-time adjunct faculty for the Entrepreneurship Department's Business Enterprise Area. This role involves teaching business classes tailored for students in creative majors, focusing on delivering a quality educational experience that emphasizes student-centered learning and industry relevance. The ideal candidate will possess entrepreneurial and business experience in fields such as fashion, design, or related creative industries, and will be expected to engage with professional organizations and maintain industry relationships.

Responsibilities

• Teach required 15-week class schedule in the Business Enterprise Area.
• Deliver relevant course material and assess student performance.
• Provide guidance and assistance to students both in and out of the classroom.
• Submit grades on time and maintain accurate records.
• Engage in professional organizations and maintain industry relationships.
• Demonstrate leadership skills and contribute to a collaborative team environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in the field or a closely related field.
• A minimum of seven (7) years of professional experience in the field.

Nice-to-haves

• MBA or Master's degree in the field or a closely related field.
• Teaching experience at the college level.
