About the position

The Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) is seeking applications for a part-time adjunct faculty position in the History of Art Department. This role involves teaching various fashion history survey courses, contributing to the academic development of students, and engaging in a vibrant educational community. The position is part-time and will commence in Spring 2025, with a focus on delivering relevant course material and assessing student performance.

Responsibilities

• Teach one or more fashion history survey courses.
• Deliver relevant course material to students.
• Assess student performance and provide timely feedback.
• Provide guidance and assistance to students both in and out of the classroom.
• Submit grades on time.

Requirements

• Earned Master's degree with thirty additional graduate credits or evidence of scholarly achievement and teaching experience.
• PhD or other terminal degree in a related field is preferred.
