About the position
Kettering University is seeking qualified candidates for adjunct faculty positions at the Flint campus. The ideal candidates would preferably hold a Ph.D. in their discipline, although those with a Master's degree and significant industry experience will also be considered. There is a particular interest in candidates with industry experience in fields such as Industry 4.0, Mechatronics/Robotics, Automotive Engineering, Vehicle Electrification, Autonomous Vehicles, Cybersecurity, Advanced Materials, Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, Innovation Management, and Biomedical Engineering. Candidates with executive-level industry experience are highly desired for positions within the School of Management. Adjunct faculty are primarily needed during normal business hours, but opportunities for evening courses do exist. All courses may be delivered in one of three modes: Face-to-Face, virtual, or hybrid (combination of F2F and virtual).
Responsibilities
- Class/lab preparation.
- Class/lab presentation.
- Hold office hours/assistance to students seeking help.
- Evaluation of graded assignments.
- Assessment.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in relevant discipline preferred; Master's degree with significant industry experience considered.
- Industry experience in fields such as Industry 4.0, Mechatronics/Robotics, Automotive Engineering, Vehicle Electrification, Autonomous Vehicles, Cybersecurity, Advanced Materials, Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, Innovation Management, and Biomedical Engineering.
- Executive level industry experience is highly desired.
